Join a small, focused oil painting session inside a working artist’s studio at Wimbledon Art Studios.

Led by Jonquil, these sessions are designed for those who want to slow down and learn the fundamentals of still life painting in oils — with careful observation, structured guidance, and individual attention throughout.

This is not a paint-and-sip experience.
It’s a quiet, studio-based atelier session, limited to just four participants.

Working from a curated still life arrangement, you’ll be guided through:
– Observational painting and composition
– Understanding light, tone, and form
– Colour mixing with a limited palette
– Building a painting in layers

With such a small group, the teaching is highly responsive and tailored to each participant.

Participants can bring their own materials (a list will be provided) or supplied for an additional charge of £15, including artist-quality oil paints, brushes, and surfaces.
